Performs a variety of skilled maintenance work in the areas of electricity, electronics and welding
Essential Job Functions
Repairs and maintain mechanical equipment, including but not limited to electrical and welding
Performs routine maintenance on various types of equipment in accordance with OSHA Standards
Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components using electrical and mechanical; review codes, program, and troubleshoot equipment
Evaluates assigned maintenance malfunctions for repair; install assigned maintenance systems, equipment or components; prepares technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues.
Disassembles and assemble units, cleans, lubricates, repairs, and replaces parts
Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and component replacement on electrical, security, and mechanical systems, perform maintenance and repairs within scope of authority, and in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures, and notify supervisors of repair problems beyond the scope of authority.
Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of maintenance experience
Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or in a facility/maintenance field
Cross-trained in one or more department
Working knowledge of electrical and welding if applicable
The ability to multi-task, and manage multiple projects to meet various deadlines simultaneously
The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion. Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
Work Environment
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
