Job Summary

The Licensing & Branding Specialist supports contractual obligations under licensing agreements through onboarding and monitoring the use of in-house licensed brands. This role ensures compliance with licensing terms while managing brand resources, purchase order tracking, reporting activities, and royalty payment processes. The position also contributes to global education and training initiatives to support strategic and compliant use of licensed brands while partnering on new tools, workflows, and process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring for Compliance
  • Correspond and follow up with Buyers/MAs weekly regarding PO data inquiries across all TJX divisions.
  • Manually track exception PO cases using Licensed Brands.
  • Validate Licensed Brand order data and identify or escalate PO issues.
Reporting and Royalty Payments
  • Generate and distribute ad hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for internal teams and licensors.
  • Prepare internal reporting for Product Development, Merchandising, and Financial divisions.
  • Produce external reports for licensors.
  • Review and submit monthly or quarterly royalty payments for approval.
Onboarding Licensed Brands
  • Create and maintain Licensed Brand resources for new agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
  • Support Branding and Packaging teams and freelancers with licensed brand launches and distribution formats.
  • Organize brand assets from licensors including trend books, inspiration materials, and prints.
  • Set up new licensed brands as suppliers and manage changes to brand contacts, addresses, and payment information.
Education & Brand/Category Requests
  • Support the education of the Licensed Brand portfolio.
  • Respond to brand category inquiries from Merchants and Product Development teams by reviewing licensing agreements and making recommendations to management.
  • Support ad hoc inquiries from licensors and escalate when appropriate.
Training Support
  • Partner with Licensing & Branding Management on training initiatives across the corporation.
  • Conduct Licensed Brand training sessions for Merchandising Operations teams globally.
  • Create and update Merchandising Operations training materials.
Process Improvement
  • Support projects focused on increasing operational efficiency and reducing risk.
  • Participate in technology rollouts and innovation initiatives.
Brand DNA, Product and Packaging Approvals
  • Manage internal and external product approval forms.
  • Coordinate brand DNA and packaging approvals from licensors for Packaging teams.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Required Experience
  • Prior experience in an office or corporate environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadline-driven projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical thinking and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and present training materials to large groups.
