A company is looking for a Temporary Research Assistant to support an Indigenous mapping project focused on environmental water quality.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and extend GIS maps of Indigenous lands, activities, resources, and traditional knowledgeAdd layers of water quality data in Lake Cayuga and design visualizations to support effective communicationShare mapping development progress with the Principal Investigator and project partners in regular meetingsRequired QualificationsSignificant experience with GIS and digital mappingExperience working with Indigenous communities and understanding ethical principles related to sovereignty and data ownershipAbility to represent map content in Indigenous languagesInterest in water quality researchExperience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities
