Bilingual Customer Service Representative (Remote Opportunity, Must Live In Virginia)

Shift: 2:00pm-10:15pm Monday-Friday; Rotating weekends

*May require some holidays and overtime hours*

Type: Contract to Perm

Pay: $16.50/hour

Location: Roanoke, VA

Lingo Staffing is hiring a Customer Service Representative to support a contact center serving residents across Virginia.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong customer service and call center experience who are passionate about helping others, providing solutions, and working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide information and referral services to individuals via phone, text, and email
  • Conduct brief needs assessments to determine appropriate resources and services
  • Research statewide resources using databases and provide accurate, detailed information to individuals seeking assistance
  • Maintain accurate contact records and documentation within the system
  • Meet monthly service metrics and individual performance goals
  • Conduct outbound follow-up to measure customer satisfaction and ensure program goals are met or exceeded
  • Participate in ongoing training and attain AIRS certification upon eligibility
  • Assist with Council of Community Services programs and additional projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required must be fluent in both verbal and written communication
  • Position requires candidates to be a Virginia resident
  • At least two years of experience in a contact center or health and human services-related field
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual contact center environment
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical and computer skills with the ability to learn contact center software
  • Ability to work independently in a remote or work-from-home environment
