This is for percussion coordinator/director for the high school and middle schools. Duties would be to teach all areas of percussion and assist in other facets of the band program as needed.Qualifations:Instrumental Music Degree with a percussion emphasisCertified or Emergency-Certified PK-12 Instrumental. MusicDemonstrates excellent musicianship and artistry as a teacher/performerStrong knowledge of music and percussion pedagogyStrong communication, public relations, parent relations, and interpersonal skills.Positive role modelAbility to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectationsDetail oriented, logical, and methodoligical approach to problem solvingAbility to implement policy and proceduresDrum and Bugle Corps Experience and/or WGI Indoor experience preferredPhysical Demands:Ability to stand and conduct for extended periods.Ability to lift and move equipment.Ability to travel for competitions and performances.Salary:Certified Teacher Compensation Schedule,Note:This job description is intended to be a general representation of the responsibilities and qualifications required for this position.
